Third Annual Tribe Fashion Show/Contest at Dragon Con 2005 [21 Jul 2005|10:44am]

Feel like you were born to strut your stuff on the runway? Always wanted to design your own retro-hip line of funky post-apocalyptic daywear? Dying to have the eyes of hundreds (alright, dozens) of adoring fans watching your every move?

Then friend, the Tribe Fashion Show/Contest at the 2005 Dragon Con in Atlanta, Georgia is for you!

It's easy (and this we mean). Just design your own original Tribe-inspired outfit OR recreate any outfit seen on the show, write a short paragraph about your fancy new duds (4 to 5 sentences), submit your application to scchesnut@hotmail.com, and away you go. Come Dragon Con you'll be able to strut your masterpiece down our runway to funky tunes and thunderous applause as a panel of the finest judges we can find mark down points for style, originality, and attitude. And as if that weren't enough, there will be prizes too!

So, come join us Labor Day weekend at Dragon Con (Atlanta, GA) for a Fashion Show the likes of which few have ever seen.

1) There will be two categories: Original and Recreation. YOU MAY ONLY ENTER IN ONE CATEGORY, so pick wisely.

2) Groups are welcome to participate, though please note that only one prize will be given to each winner (whether group or individual).

3) Please send your application to scchesnut@hotmail.com, by August 15, 2005, with TRIBE FASHION CONTEST in the subject line. Please include in the e-mail:
A. Name
B. Age
C. E-mail Address
D. Category (Recreation or Original)
E. Description of Outfit (4 to 5 sentences)

4) You must arrive at the Fashion contest on the designated day and time with your costume completed. There will be nowhere provided for people to change or adjust costumes, though for those who arrive more than 30 minutes in advance a face painter will be available to do make-up (Note: Please have your design on paper and know the colors and placement of the design beforehand).

5) Be creative! Previous years have produced a terrific array of both recreations and original works. The sky is the limit, so reach for it. Think thrift shops, junkyards, hardware supply stores, Salvation Army, and more. There is nowhere that the spirit of The Tribe can't be found.

6) Good luck and have fun!

Down, but not out! [29 May 2005|09:40pm]

[ mood | busy ]

Contrary to rumors, The Tribal Alliance has not disappeared. We promised a long time ago that we were here to stay, and we don't plan to disappoint!

However, the site is currently in the process of a lengthy overhaul. We are changing locations, as well as changing formats to make the site more fan-friendly. We are very excited about the new format and hope that once we open everyone will share in our enthusiasm.

No matter what we promise that TTA will always strive to bring fans unique content, original interviews, fresh media, and more.

Thanks for hanging in there with us, and we hope to be back soon!
